So it turns out DJ Enuff was the man in the middle that convinced Isaac Hayes that it was ok to let Erick Sermon sample the theme song from "Shaft" for the "Reservoir Dogs" posse cut (Lox, Jay-z, Beanie Sigel, Sauce Money) on the Hard Knock Life album. My favorite verse on the song is a tie between Sauce and Styles, but the whole song is flames. Whats yours?

The Beginning of the Jay-Z/Jaz-O Feud

Long story short for those who may not know: Jaz-O taught Jay how to formulate songs and vocal cadence. Jaz put Jay in his first two videos back in the late 80's/early 90's.. He also introduced Jay to Big Daddy Kane (who took him on tour) and took him to London to record Jaz's first album (Jay lyric- "back of Johnny album cover, red and blue gucci sh!t). When Rocafella started Jaz didn't want to sign a contract for so little money, but he did produce Jay's first hit "Ain't No Nigga" and sang the hook. He also let Jay use the intellectual property to The Originators (Nigga What, Nigga Who) which was first a Jaz record in the early 90's.. Leads to the Nas/Jay beef and Jaz stating that Nas' Ether won. Jay caught feelings and was set to be in Jaz's video for the song above and No showed which caused the rift.. Niggaz is petty

On this track Jim Jones steps outside of his normal braggadocios rhymes to speak on the ills of the fast lane.

Even though on paper this would be a good look.... This aint 2003, and interscope doesn't care if Beans is a raw, relentless, talented artist if his track record shows he's never sold more than 800,000. I personally don't care about sales, but in this climate artists are getting one chance from labels to at least go gold or they get canned. I hate giving speeches but this is the perfect time to take the game back to its essence and STOP SIGNING TO MAJOR LABELS. Let them have the radio and keep your dignity, artistic integrity, and answer to your self. Drop albums when YOU want to , say what YOU want, and make money for YOU (and the indie label that distributes you album and doesn't dictate your moves) and thats not a just a message to beans, its one for any and every artist that isn't recording music specifically for the club or a phone. ok, my rant is over, see yall next post.

I've been waiting to see some more videos on Ncaa Basketball 10 gameplay. Even though I am an avid 2k sports supporter, I always preferred Ncaa Basketball/March Madness over the College Hoops series. Just like the song title says, this song is pretty hard. This was an interesting combo, but it ended up working out very well. Rihannas verses came off a tad boastful, but they hold weight. Street Wear brand HUF hooked up with Nike SB to put a twist on the Nike SB Blazer Mid. For those of you familiar with Converses and Vans, you'll recognize the heel tag and canvas materials. I found it dope that the Nike Swoosh is only stitched as an outline and not in contrasting colors making this a very simple shoe available in Khaki or Black.
